Your translation
Get to know the ESV.
The English Standard Version is an English translation of the Bible first published in 2001 by Crossway. It is an essentially literal (word-for-word) translation, based on the 1971 Revised Standard Version, and draws from the most reliable Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek manuscripts. The ESV seeks to maintain the accuracy and precision of the original languages while using clear, literary English that is suitable for both personal reading and in-depth study. It is widely used among evangelicals for preaching, teaching, and memorization.
